Presidents Award

Awarded by the President of Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club, the award is given for exceptional service to the Surf Club, which included volunteer service as the Director of Surf Sports, as a Patrol Captain, as a Trainer, as a Youth Coach and in strategic management through the creation of a strategic plan and providing leadership advice and direction to the two Club Committee’s.

Patrol Captain Of The Year

Awarded for excellence and recognition as the most outstanding Patrol Captain of Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club, encompassing leadership, operational outcomes, safety and training.

Clive Hammond OAM Award

Recognises individuals who have made an outstanding and special contribution to the development and/or well-being of their Club.

United States Department of State Ambassadorial Certificate of Appreciation

Awarded for superior and distinguished service to the U.S. Embassy, Regional Platform – South, Afghanistan, entailing operational planning support to the Regional U.S. Ambassador in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Trainer of the year

Awarded for excellence in conduct as a qualified Trainer within the Surf Life Saving environment. For exceptional skill in training delivery, mentoring and train the trainer performance within Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club.

Senior Surf Life Saver of the year

Awarded as the most outstanding Surf Life Saver of Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club for multi-faceted contributions to surf life saving.

Presidents Award

Second award, awarded by the President of Surfers Paradise SLSC, the award was given for exceptional service to the Surf Club including volunteer service as the Secretary, leadership and governance direction, cultural change management including complaint management, and dedication to lifesaving excellence as a Patrol Captain, leading and participating in two successful mass rescues.
